Make the monkeys smile – be an ethical consumer

25 August, 2010 § Leave a comment

The point of the current MASC show is to teach children which products are palm oil-free, contain palm oil (‘vegetable oil’) or RSPO (Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil). This is so they can help their parents to buy in a way that is not damaging to the environment. I have two categories running here: one for things I find that are BAD for the rainforest called ‘Don’t buy’ and the other is for products that make the monkeys smile called ‘Buy!’

I have a few beginnings of lists of products that are palm oil-free, RSPO or palm oil-ful on the main site.

Or read about a woman, who has been living palm oil-free for longer than I have.
